Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals will face off for two points in Match 2 of VIVO IPL 2020.

In the second game of the Indian Premier League ( IPL) 2020 on Sunday (September 20) Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals (DC) will face off against KL Rahul’s Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Despite being part of the League since its inception every season, both teams have yet to win the championship and have been underperforming over the years.

In 2019, it was after seven seasons that Delhi made it to the second round of the tournament. Kings XI Punjab hasn’t played a Playoff match since 2014. Led by young captains, both DC and KXIP will look to pull off something big in IPL 2020.

Kings XI Punjab has won more matches against the Delhi Capitals than against any other opponent. They won both their matches against the Delhi Capitals last season. In the first meeting in Mohali, the hosts chased down 167 to win by 6 wickets – the highlight of the match being KL Rahul’s 16-ball 51 – during which he scored the fastest-ever half-century in the IPL.

In the second meeting in Delhi, KXIP defended 143 to win by 4 runs; Delhi needed 5 runs off the last ball, but Mujeeb ur Rahman had Shreyas Iyer caught at long-off to deny the hosts.
