Dettol National League Championship News, Fixtures, Scores & Results.
The fixtures for the 2026 Dettol National League Championship for both men’s and women’s teams have been announced today by New Zealand Football. Both tournaments will commence on 26 September.
The Grand Final for the women’s competition is tentatively scheduled for either 28 or 29 November, while the men’s Grand Final is set for 12 or 13 December.
This season will mark the last time both competitions are held in their current format, as modifications are planned for the Dettol National Leagues next year, which will include a complete winter national league, with both leagues being club-based for the first time and the introduction of promotion and relegation.

The 2026 men’s competition will feature 11 teams: the defending champions Auckland City, Auckland FC Reserves, Auckland United, Birkenhead United, Cashmere Technical, Eastern Suburbs, Ferrymead Bays, Miramar Rangers, Napier City Rovers, Wellington Olympic, and Wellington Phoenix Reserves.
The 2026 women’s competition will consist of nine clubs: the 2025 champions Auckland United, West Coast Rangers, Eastern Suburbs, Waterside Karori, Fencibles, SU University of Otago, Wellington United, Wellington Phoenix Reserves, and Mainland Pride.
SU University of Otago will be the first university women’s team to reach this level of the competition, having entered the Dettol National League in collaboration with Southern United. The Girls Youth National League will also commence this month on 19 September and will run concurrently with the senior Dettol National League.
