Nepal and Bangladesh set for a landmark youth cricket World Cup.
Cricket fans have two big dates to circle. Nepal is due to host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-offs from 4 to 21 December 2026. Separately, Nepal and Bangladesh will co-host the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup from 21 January to 6 February 2027. The 16-team women’s tournament will feature 41 matches, so there will be plenty of action across both countries.
The women’s event will use four grounds: Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, and TU International Cricket Stadium and Upper Mulpani International Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. The group stage runs through 26 January, with teams then moving into the Super Six phase.

The knockout push comes in February: the semi-finals are set for 4 February in Chattogram, with 5 February held as a reserve day. The final is scheduled for 6 February at 1:30 pm local time, and 7 February is the reserve day.
One detail worth keeping clear: the 16 teams and 41 matches refer to the Women’s U19 World Cup, not the men’s qualifier play-offs. Nepal’s December hosting window has been announced, but detailed match venues and start times for that separate event have not appeared in the information available so far. With two major ICC competitions on the calendar, Nepal is heading into a memorable stretch of international cricket. [[cite:ebdd19a527d1ff853173f5efbabc5f581]]
