Check out all the goals and stats for Cristiano Ronaldo, the only player to score in six different FIFA World Cups.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicked off in the first week of June, and the International tournament has already played host to numerous impressive new world records in just a matter of weeks. Lionel Messi has recently become the player with the all-time most career goals at a World Cup, with his 17th goal in a 2-0 victory against Canada, before going on to hit his 18th during Argentina’s 2-0 victory over Mexico.

To be clear, all six of Ronaldo’s World Cup appearances – 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2026 – have seen the Real Madrid star score. That being said, Messi’s been present for every one of those tournaments, just not at the 2010 World Cup. Of course, the way Messi and Ronaldo play these things on an annual basis, it would not be inconceivable to see Messi reach Ronaldo’s six-straight World Cups and pass it, given enough years.

Nevertheless, one could not exactly call that an expectation in and of itself.

Both haven’t quite put their definitive mark on ending World Cup proceedings with the upcoming 2026 tournament – not yet, anyway – but there’s enough room to wonder if we won’t see them again after, considering as of right now Ronaldo is 41 and Messi 39.

This is likely to be the final World Cup for Ronaldo, who won the European Championship with Portugal in 2016 and the Champions League five times with Manchester United and Real Madrid.
