Bundesliga Given Go-Ahead For Restart: 'Aware Of Great Responsibility
The Bundesliga resumes earlier than the Premier League this … a full fixture schedule involving Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund
Bundesliga becomes the first big leagues in Europe to restart since the lockout, but without fans. Germany’s players were the first of Europe’s major leagues to return to training while observing social distancing rules. There were questions after Cologne last week posted three good tests but they kept training crucially.
Positive tests are entitled to be treated as regular injuries and a two-week absence follows. On Monday, the German Football League (DFL) announced that they had taken 1,724 tests on players and staff, and 10 positives for coronavirus.
Saturday, May 16, Germany’s top division will resume, following a two-month shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. Through team will play nine or ten league matches to complete the season.
Unlike plans from the Major League to use new venues, teams from the Bundesliga must play matches as usual at home team stadium. We would, of course, be behind locked doors.
