Rohit Sharma will open the innings alongside Shubman Gill, who have forged a devastating opening tandem in recent years. Virat Kohli, this generation’s best ODI batsman, will occupy the No.3 place and serve as an anchor as he has for the past several years.

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav
Shubman Gill has been named Rohit’s deputy, and Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul have been selected as wicketkeepers on the squad. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer will comprise the middle order, with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has yet to play an ODI, also included in the 15-man squad.
Arshdeep Singh was chosen as the only left-arm pacer, while Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar made up the all-rounders squad.
