FIFA World Cup 2026: Harry Kane becomes England’s all-time WC top scorer.

Harry Kane scored his 11th World Cup goal on Saturday during England’s last Group L match against Panama in a Group L match in New Jersey, making him the team’s undisputed top scorer in FIFA World Cup history.

Kane had tied Gary Lineker’s long-standing mark of 10 goals in England’s first victory over Croatia before breaking it with a header against Panama in the second half in front of an ecstatic crowd at New York New Jersey Stadium. In their pivotal FIFA World Cup 2026 Group L match, England easily defeated Panama 2-0 thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.

Kane currently has 82 international goals over 116 games for his nation, but he is still well behind all-time leaders Lionel Messi (122) and Cristiano Ronaldo (145).

With six goals in Russia 2018, including a hat trick against Panama and a brace against Tunisia in the group stage, Kane started his journey to England’s World Cup goals record. As the tournament’s leading scorer, he would also win the Golden Boot.

He scored just two goals during the World Cup four years later in Qatar, although he did provide three assists.
