Premier League agrees new £6.7bn TV rights deal with Sky and TNT Sports.
To broadcast up to 270 live games a season, Sky and TNT have inked a record-breaking £6.7 billion domestic broadcasting contract with the Premier League. As part of the agreement, Match of the Day highlights will still be shown by the BBC.
As per the top flight, this four-year agreement, beginning with the 2025–2026 season, is the “largest sports media rights deal ever concluded in the UK”. The Sunday kickoff at 2 p.m. will be aired, but the Saturday 3 p.m. blackout will still be in effect.

All games played before Saturday’s 3 p.m. kickoff times will be televised live in the UK for the first time. Additionally, there will be more midweek matchdays where fans can select which of the concurrently shown games to watch. With agreements previously agreed upon over three-year intervals, the terms of the contract have been extended, and this has allowed the Premier League to reach what it refers to as “the largest sports media rights deal ever concluded in the UK.”
The agreement is expected to strengthen the Premier League’s position as the most prosperous domestic football league in the world. The agreement is more than twice as valuable even though it only managed to secure an increase in its yearly earnings from domestic rights of 4%, below the current rates of inflation.
Dana Strong, the group chief executive of Sky, said: “This is a fantastic result for Sky customers, who will see a significant increase in the number of matches from the most iconic league in the world.
“We are proud of our long history with the Premier League and look forward to delivering more engagement, entertainment, and innovation to the end of the decade. Sky is the undisputed home for sports fans in the UK.”
