India will play five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests during their tour of New Zealand starting next month.
The tour of New Zealand by Indian cricketers is drawing significant interest from fans, with Eden Park anticipated to host one of its largest crowds in several years. The Indian cricketers’ tour of New Zealand is generating excitement among fans, as Eden Park is expected to witness one of its highest attendances in recent years.
In the initial two weeks of ticket sales for this historic tour, fifty thousand tickets have already been sold, covering a total of 12 matches across all three formats of the game. For the first time since 2019, the entire Eden Park will be available for seating, with the upper level open for the fourth T20 international scheduled for Friday, 30 October.
The 2019 tour by India drew a substantial crowd, while the men’s World Cup in 2015 and a men’s T20 international against Australia in 2018 are the only other occasions in recent history when the sixth tier of seating has been made available.

“The opportunity to open the top level of Eden Park for the first time in years is truly thrilling and reflects the growing excitement surrounding the tour,” stated Tim Ellis, New Zealand Cricket’s head of marketing. Currently, Hagley Oval is already at 75 percent capacity for the second T20 on Saturday, 24 October.
The first Test at the Basin Reserve is also projected to be nearly at full capacity, following recent sell-out crowds in Wellington. The ticket sales are expected to provide a financial boost to New Zealand Cricket, which recently reported a preliminary deficit of $7.3 million for the previous financial year.
The anticipated revenue from the India tour is a significant factor in NZC’s forecast of a surplus exceeding $10 million for its upcoming financial results.
