Borussia Dortmund or Real Madrid: who is the home team in the 2024 Champions League final? What colour will each team wear?
The UEFA Champions League championship match is getting ready to begin. Borussia Dortmund, this year’s unexpected contender, will play Real Madrid, the club with the greatest record in Europe’s top championship. When playing for the continental title, whether at home or away, the Spanish giants not only make it to the final almost every time, they also almost always come out on top.
Real Madrid will be the visiting club at Wembley Stadium this time, with Dortmund playing at home after losing to Bayern Munich there eleven years prior. Notably, all three losses occurred in the last century, when their name appeared on the right side of the scoreboard. Much time has passed since then.

Dortmund has participated in all three of their finals, including this one, wearing their original uniform. In contrast, Los Blancos participated in two of the three finals they lost while wearing white jerseys. They have, nevertheless, earned a great deal more when dressed traditionally.
They have participated in 12 Champions League finals while sporting their iconic white uniform. Their two losses in the famous white uniform were in 1964 against Inter Milan and 1981 against Liverpool. Borussia Dortmund vs. Real Madrid has the stage set. The dancing may now commence.
