Jasprit Bumrah won the Player of the Match after India beat England by 106 runs in the second Test at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
“When a bowler wins the Player of the Match award ahead of two batters with a century and a double century, he must be exceptional. And when that bowler is Jasprit Bumrah, you know everything around him is special. Bumrah led India’s bowling attack against England in both innings of the Visakhapatnam Test, finishing with a match-haul of nine wickets. He beat Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill to walk away with the honour. Bumrah consistently delivers excellent performance, whether at home or abroad, on pitches that assist spin, pace, or nothing. He is truly an outstanding player, and no one can deny that.”
Bumrah picked up 9 wickets in the Test, but it was his searing yorker to Ollie Pope that grabbed the limelight.

“Rohit and I talk about everything; he gives his opinion on what to do and I share my thoughts. Fast bowling is something I always like to see, whether it’s the opposing team or not. Well done if someone is succeeding. Examine the circumstances and the wicket. Every wicket is different, so I have to use my arsenal to find a solution,” Bumrah continued.
