Lucknow lost their previous match to CSK by 12 runs, going down after putting up a fight whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad was beaten brutally in their previous match by 72 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a horrid start to the season, losing to RR by 72 runs in their opening fixture. They conceded 203 runs in the first innings. Fazalhaq Farooqi and T Natarajan were the picks of the bowlers as they claimed 2 wickets each. However, that was not enough as the Sunrisers were set a huge total of 204 runs to chase.
There were hardly any positives for the Sunrisers from the batting department as they could manage only 131 runs in their 20 overs. Mayank Agarwal (27) and Abdul Samad (32) were the only batsmen who got starts however they too could not convert them.
