New year, same Ronaldo – the Portuguese bags a hat-trick, as Juventus trash Cagliari with a 4-0 win.
Cristiano Ronaldo enters the 2020s decade with a bang! The Juventus forward bagged a hat-trick in his first game of the new year.
All goals at the Allianz Stadium came in the second half, as Cagliari successfully managed to resist the hosts’ pressure over the first 45 minutes.
Ronaldo’s latest three-goal showing was the 56th hat trick for club and country of his goal-filled career, but it was his first in Serie A play. He previously scored a hat trick for Juventus in the Champions League, helping the club topple Atletico Madrid last season. He now has 13 league goals on the season.
