After winning their record-equalling NBA championship on Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers players made sure they had an awesome celebration. The Lakers crushed Miami Heat, 106-93, in Game 6, to carry the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy to Los Angeles for the first time since Kobe Bryant did so in 2010.

Even though the likes of J.R. With his mother, Gloria Marie James, LeBron James came into FaceTime, and Smith and Dwight Howard were busy broadcasting the team celebration live on Instagram. LeBron James picked up his fourth NBA Finals MVP on Sunday, after leading his side from the front against the resilient Miami Heat. The 35-year-old scored a 28-point triple-double (14 rebounds and 10 assists) in Lakers’ Game 6 win. The four-time NBA champion moved past NBA greats like Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson and Tim Duncan (three each), and two behind the all-time record of six, held by NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Lakers vs Heat highlights:

From the first whistle, the Los Angeles Lakers blasted the Miami Heat out of the stadium. In nearly every area of the court, the Heat were outplayed, including a dismal Q2, where they lost 36-16. While Miami managed in the second half to cut the deficit, it was all a little too late for Jimmy Butler and co. Anthony Davis of the Lakers ended the game with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists. Rajon Rondo, meanwhile, came from the bench to score 19 points in just 30 minutes of play.

Her mother Gloria was unable to attend the NBA Finals due to the restricted bubble environment. That didn’t stop her son, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, from making sure she was involved in the celebrations.
