The forward reached the landmark in the club’s 2-1 win at Watford and now wants to cement his place as a Chelsea legend.
WATFORD, England — Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard became the 10th player to score 100 goals for the club when his double clinched a 2-1 win at Watford in the English Premier League on Wednesday.
Coach Maurizio Sarri criticized Chelsea’s players after Saturday’s shock home loss against Leicester and they produced the reaction he was looking for at Vicarage Road.
Brazil playmaker Willian hit the post from an acute angle after rounding goalkeeper Ben Foster before Hazard showed his teammate how it should be done in first-half stoppage time.

Making no mistake with the resulting penalty, Hazard was able to score his 101st goal and expressed his delight at reaching the milestone after the final whistle. ‘It means a lot, especially because we won today,’ he told Sky Sports after the victory.

‘101 goals with this amazing club is something I will never forget but now the fans, staff, and players want more. ‘I want to score more for this club and then try to be a legend like Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, and John Terry. ‘I can even play at center back. My target is to score goals and to try and win the game, as a winger or a striker. I missed a couple of chances today, especially in the first half, but I scored two so it’s important to keep focus.
