Today DELHI DYNAMOS will play hosts to FC PUNE CITY at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The Dynamos suffered their first defeat of the campaign, when they went down 1-0 to Atletico de Kolkata. The result means Delhi are winless in their last four outings after an impressive 3-1 win versus Chennaiyin FC in their opening game. whereas FC Pune City had to settle for a draw with Chennaiyin FC at home in their previous fixture. They are yet to win a match at home and their only victory of the season has come against FC Goa side.
“Pune City are a very good side. I have respect for Delhi but we will try to win this game. Delhi should be the favourites since they are playing at home,” said Lucca.
A win for Delhi Dynamos will help them move back to the top four while Pune City also have a chance to be among the best four teams should they score three or more goals against their rivals, who they have never defeated in the past.
In the start of 1st half, a good save from EDEL BETE with a another spectacular save to keep the stalemate going. FLORENT MALOUDA with a chest control and then turn to shoot to force a save. Lovely shot and an even better save from anyone.
GOAL: Jesus Rodriguez Tato leaps highest at the far post on a cross from the right and the looping header creeps into the far post and Pune have the lead against the run of play. It was all Delhi for the large portions of the first half and it all changed in the last few seconds.
Dynamos playing the chasing game now after enjoying a great first half but unable to find a goal. And then being suckerpunched at the close. . Marcelo Leite Pereira with the goal gaping in front of him and the side footed effort hits the side netting. Mix up between the Pune defenders and keeper Bete and the ball falls kindly for the Delhi player. And a real mess of it!
