The 2025-26 NBA Coach of the Year award has three candidates: J.B. Bickerstaff of the Detroit Pistons, Mitch Johnson of the San Antonio Spurs, and Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics.
The finalists for this season’s major awards, which include Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, MVP, Sixth Man of the Year, Most Improved Player, and Clutch Player of the Year, have been revealed by the NBA.
At halftime of the NBC broadcast of Game 1 of the Pistons vs. Magic, the MVP, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year finalists were revealed; the league’s official account then tweeted the remaining winners.

Each of the top three Western Conference teams has a compelling case for MVP. In addition to averaging 27.7 points, Jokic became the first player in the league to lead in both rebounds and assists per game.
