India tour of Australia: In a big setback to India, Rohit Sharma has not been included in any of the squad.
To pick the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming Tour of Australia, the All-India Senior Selection Committee met via video conference on Monday. Team India will play against Australia in three T20Is, three ODIs, and four Test matches.
The limited-overs are likely to be held entirely in Sydney and Canberra which will be followed by a four-match Test series. The dates and schedule for the tour are yet to be officially confirmed by Cricket Australia and BCCI. The team announcement is going to happen today.
It will be important to see if Rishabh Pant, who is struggling with weight issues, is chosen with the stringent fitness criteria in place or not. Suryakumar Yadav and young people such as Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Mavi, Abdul Samad, and Ravi Bishnoi, among others, will also have skin.
Although Rohit last week picked up a hamstring injury and he is still with the Mumbai Indians squad in the UAE, Ishant was ruled out of the IPL with an abdominal muscle tear much earlier and returned to India.
