MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings take on Delhi Capitals wit the hopes of getting back to winning ways in IPL 2020.
A victory and a defeat to their name and now Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are returning for their 2020 season Indian Premier League ( IPL) third match. Delhi Capitals, who beat Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in their season opener through a Super Over, are waiting for them at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both teams have fought each other twenty-one times, and Chennai has won 15 of those fights.
One of the challenges that CSK bowlers are bound to face against Delhi batsmen is the fact that as many as three batters in the top DC unit are left-handed. In the absence of Harbhajan, the question remains as to how Chennai bowlers will be able to take the ball away from those left-handers.

For Chennai this year, Sam Curran has been an absolute star, having been promoted to bat ahead of Dhoni too. A main weapon against the Delhi top-order will be the English all-rounder’s left-arm seam bowling. In the last couple of years, in the first two games, Deepak Chahar, who had the most wickets in the powerplay, looked a little rusty. It is predicted that he will do a little bit against CSK.

On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer had a good experience managing this Delhi side that kept its nerves in the Super Over to win the season’s first two points. In the final over of the previous game, MS Dhoni showed a glimpse of his true potential by unleashing those monstrous three consecutive sixes. If he chooses to come up against Delhi in the batting order, Iyer will have a big task.
Head to Head in Indian Premier League:
Having both won and lost a match in IPL 2020 so far, Chennai is at the fifth position on the points table. Delhi, on the other hand, are a place above at No. 4 after winning their only match so far. Going by the history between the two teams, Super Kings have won 15 out of the 21 matches against Capitals since 2008.
Good Signs:
Delhi Capitals have played just one match which was a Super Over victory over Kings XI Punjab
The Delhi Capitals are the only team to not register a 50-run opening partnership in IPL. Kagiso Rabada (153.91kph) and Jofra Archer (152.60kph) have bowled the two fastest deliveries as of now.
