Türkiye qualify for FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027

Türkiye has secured their qualification for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 following their decisive victory against Iceland, which confirmed its participation in the tournament.

The qualification campaign commenced with a dominant 93-71 performance against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their most significant achievements included two victories over Serbia, with the first being an 82-78 win in Belgrade, where Tarik Biberovic contributed 22 points, followed by a 94-86 victory in Istanbul, in which Biberovic scored 21 points.

Türkiye maintained an undefeated record throughout the qualifying rounds, with their success driven by Biberovic, who averaged 17.8 points per game, and Cedi Osman, who contributed 16.3 points per contest.
