With India only needing two draws to reclaim the Trophy, day five was an arm wrestle. Australia launched an early attack, with Pat Cummins striking twice in an over. However, India repulsed them in the middle sessions. However, the pressure worked, and after Australia broke through the middle order, India crumbled. Pat Cumins took three, and Scott Boland scored three on his home track.
Australia won a famous Test in front of the largest crowd in Australian Test cricket history, and now they have the wind at their backs and the temperamental Sydney weather on their side as they attempt to wrap up the series in the third Test, which begins on Friday.
