Cole Palmer has been named the England men’s player of the year for 2023-24.
The Chelsea forward was selected by the electorate ahead of Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka, who came in second and third, respectively. Palmer didn’t play for the Three Lions until November of last year when they defeated Malta 2-0 at Wembley.

He has represented his country nine times, starting a game twice, with five of those appearances coming at Euro 2024, when he scored in the final against Spain as Gareth Southgate’s side lost 2-1.
The honour came after his incredible debut season at Chelsea, which led to his August designation as the PFA Young Player of the Year for 2023–2024. Palmer, who joined the Blues from Manchester City last summer, scored 25 goals in all competitions.
