Cristiano Ronaldo reached a significant milestone on Thursday by scoring the 900th goal of his illustrious career.
The 900th goal of soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo’s remarkable career was scored on Thursday in Lisbon during Portugal’s UEFA Nations League group stage match against Croatia.
In the 34th minute of the first half, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored with a volley after a cross from Nuno Mendes to give Portugal a 2-1 lead. As he sprinted to the corner of the field to celebrate the goal, an emotional Ronaldo put out his arms, put his hands over his face, and fell to the ground.

With this strike, Ronaldo surpassed the most international goals in world football with 131 goals for Portugal. The Portugal captain scores 769 goals throughout his club career and becomes the first male player to do so.

Out of the 23 goals scored in finals, Manchester United has scored three, Real Madrid has scored fifteen, Juventus has scored two, and Al Nassr has scored three. He never participated in a Sporting final and was unsuccessful in scoring for Portugal in the 2019 Nations League final, the Euro 2004 final, or the Euro 2016 final.
