WTC points table 2024–25 update: After defeating England in the Dharamsala Test on Saturday, India increased their lead at the top of the World Test Championship rankings.
India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs in the fifth and final Test of the series on Saturday at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, extending their lead at the top of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023–25 points table.

In the Christchurch Test going on between New Zealand and Australia, both the teams can win it, If Australia wins, they would move to 62.5 in PoP. If the Kiwis win, they would move to 66.6. Thus, even after the Christchurch Test, Inda will remain at the top. The fight will be between New Zealand and Australia to get to the second position.

Is England able to make it to the WTC 2023–25 Final?
Winning the two series is their sole path to the WTC Final. if they triumph 2-1 and avoid being penalised for a slow overrate. If they succeed in doing so, they will have a total of 53.4 PoP, which may come in handy if other teams suffer setbacks or other setbacks.
Their point-of- would rise to 62.5 if they were to win 12 games in each of the four upcoming series, though, and it would be sufficient to advance them to the championship match given that the WTC 2023–25 finalists had a PoP of 58.8.
