
New Plymouth Raceway hosts 15 race days a year, and each race day offers a unique experience for our members and hospitality guests.
Nearly six months after being postponed due to concerns about the safety of its track, Taranaki Racing has been given the go-ahead to host meetings once more by New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.
The circuit underwent considerable corrective work to enhance the surface, and the course had a number of jump-outs, so the club was sure that racing will resume at the New Plymouth Raceway on June 9.

The second round of jump-outs involving senior northern jockeys was ordered by the Racing Integrity Board because they were still unsatisfied.
This occurred on Thursday, and top jockeys, including Craig Grylls, as well as Neil Goodwin, a stipendiary steward for the Racing Integrity Board, and Todd Treweek, the track convenor for New Zealand Thoroughbred racing, all had great things to say about it.

The club was given the go-ahead to start holding events again after 10 heats were successfully held on a rough surface, according to Carey Hobbs, chief executive of Taranaki Racing.
