Meanwhile, Canada’s other silver medal on Day 3 of the Paralympics was won by Priscilla Gagné in the judo women’s 52-kilogram category. Algeria’s Cherine Abdellaoui took gold.
Gagné, who has a visual impairment called retinitis pigmentosa, carried the Canadian flag at the opening ceremonies on Tuesday.
Canada now has six medals at the Paralympics in Tokyo, with four total silvers, and two bronze.
