In the last decade, Kane Williamson has enjoyed considerable success in Test cricket and is considered one of the finest batsmen of this century.

1) 131 vs India in Ahmedabad, 2010:
For batsmen from non-Asian nations, a Test hundred in Asia is quite an accomplishment. Williamson did so against a top-quality Indian attack on his Test debut in Ahmedabad.

Williamson was just the sixth New Zealand batter at the time to make a fifty-plus score on Test debut and the first since 1965 to do so in India. His back-foot action, against the spinners.
2) 251 vs West Indies in Hamilton, 2020:
Six hundred and twenty-four minutes at the crease, and for ages, a double century! Earlier this year, against the visiting West Indies team, Williamson was at his masterful peak in the Hamilton Test. A special knock was cut out by the New Zealand skipper that proved to be the cornerstone of New Zealand’s innings victory. It was the best Test result for Williamson.
Jason Holder, the opposition skipper, was all praise for Williamson after the Test, even asking his teammates to replicate him.

3) 139 vs Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, 2018:
A decider series in Asia. His side is at 60/4 and still trailing behind the first-innings lead of Pakistan. Yasir Shah and Bilal Asif transform the square of the ball around.

Williamson went on to script a superb test knock, studded with 13 boundaries, with odds stacked against him. Not only did his 139 help New Zealand avert fears of an early loss, but he put them firmly in the driving seat to win the Test.

4) 161* vs West Indies in Bridgetown, 2014
In the second innings, Williamson faced 271 balls while none of his mates faced more than 67 as New Zealand established a substantial lead against the hosts.

At the time, the unbeaten 161 was Williamson’s best test score and helped him finish his seventh test hundred, by the age of 24, the joint-most by any New Zealand batsman.
5) 242* vs Sri Lanka in Wellington, 2015
A masterpiece was his first Test Double Century. New Zealand had their backs to the wall after conceding a 135-run lead to Sri Lanka in the first innings. However, when Williamson took charge, any concerns over a defeat to the Lankans at home were put aside. For more than 10 hours, the No. 3 batsmen were batting, facing 438 balls for an impressive double century.
