Arizona women’s basketball is securing a grade move for next year to attach to a large Arizona roster. Trinity Baptiste is a six-foot forward that comes from Virginia Tech who has become last season’s sixth player of the year, scoring 9.5 points who 6.4 rebounds in 23 minutes a night. Virginia Tech finished the Atlantic Coast Conference 21-9 total and 11-7 national.

Baptiste has been on a journey throughout college basketball. She played her freshman year at Northwest Florida State College where she received first-team all-conference honors. She also got picked up by the National Tournament team.

Her ceiling with Arizona is high. In her sophomore year at Virginia Tech, she shot 55.3% from 3-point range, along with 49.6% from the field. Her numbers took a dip her junior year as she changed roles to coming off the bench. She still shot a solid 37.3% from 3-point range and 43.8% from the field.

Baptiste is able to provide a big lift for the Wildcats from beyond the arc, whether she is coming off of the bench or becoming a key player as a starter for Arizona.
