IPL Auction for 2017 season has been confirmed to take place on Monday, 20 February 2017 in Bengaluru.

IPL 2017 Player Auction was conducted on February 20 in Bengaluru inside the plush hotel rooms for the tenth edition of the league. With the league starting on April 5, teams had the auction as a launchpad to decide their strategy for the season in terms of players required and areas they need to improve upon.

In terms of the big bucks spent, Ben Stokes was expected to be the big money signing and that proved to be the case as he was taken for Rs 14.5 crore by Rising Pune Supergiants. There was also much tussle for another England player Tymal Mills who went for a massive Rs 12 crore to boost Royal Challengers Bangalore.

From Indian players, Karn Sharma was the most expensive buy at Rs 3.2 crore while T Natararajan went for Rs 3 crore.
