Ibrahimovic would likely serve as a backup to Harry Kane, with Spurs yet to replace former understudy Fernando Llorente after he left over the summer.
The Swede played under Mourinho at Old Trafford in 2016 and managed to register 26 goals in 46 appearances before sustaining a serious knee injury.
Serie A side AC Milan are desperate to sign the enigmatic 38-year-old has endured a terrible start to the campaign and Zlatan’s agent Mino Raiola is believed to have already held talks.
However, The Telegraph claim Mourinho is considering a deal for the former Barcelona striker to provide cover for Harry Kane after the departures of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen.
Does Gareth Bale return?
Gareth Bale rejoining Tottenham from Real Madrid would make sense, according to former Real president Ramon Calderon.

“Well it wouldn’t be a bad solution,” Calderon told Sky Sports News. “I know that Jose wanted him. I remember him saying in 2017 that if Bale was in the exit door, he will be waiting for him on the other side.
“He tried to sign him for Man United but at the time he saw his contract extended at Real Madrid. But now is a different moment and maybe.”
