In September and October, New Zealand will visit Pakistan for the first time since 2003 for a limited-overs series.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently announced the itinerary for the forthcoming tour on Thursday, saying that the New Zealand cricket team would play three ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League ODIs and five T20Is on their first visit to Pakistan in 18 years.

The ODIs will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on September 17, 19, and 21, according to a handout published by the cricket body. Meanwhile, the Gaddafi Stadium will host five Twenty20 Internationals from September 25 to October 3.

Here is the Schedules:
- Sept 11 – Arrival in Islamabad
- Sept 12-14 – Room isolation
- Sept 15-16 – Training/practice/intra-squad match
- Sept 17 – 1st ODI, Rawalpindi
- Sept 19 – 2nd ODI, Rawalpindi
- Sept 21 – 3rd ODI, Rawalpindi
- Sept 25 – 1st T20I, Lahore
- Sept 26 – 2nd T20I, Lahore
- Sept 29 – 3rd T20I, Lahore
- Oct 01 – 4th T20I, Lahore
- Oct 03 – 5th T20I, Lahore
In addition to this, the ODIs in Rawalpindi will contribute towards ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup qualifying, but the third spot in the ICC T20I team rankings will be decided in Lahore, according to the announcement.
“I am delighted that New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has accepted our invitation to play two more T20Is. These would not only provide both countries more games as part of their World Cup preparations, but they will also allow New Zealand players to spend more time in Pakistan, getting familiar themselves with our culture and enjoying our hospitality,” he said.
The top seven teams in the world, as well as World Cup, hosts India, will advance straight to the World Cup schedule, which will be held in India in October/November 2023.
The PCB announced that New Zealand would be the first team to visit Pakistan in what will be a busy season for local cricket fans and supporters in 2021-2022.
