Mahendra Singh Dhoni posted a picture wearing a yellow jersey with Thala meaning leader written and the fans can definitely keep no calm.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Friday welcomed the IPL franchisesChennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) back into the League.

The two franchises have completed the two-year suspension imposed by the Supreme Court appointed Justice (Retd.) Lodha Committee and will now participate in next year’s Indian Premier League.

Former CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni took to his official Instagram account to post a picture of him donning his customary No.7 CSK jersey, although his name wasn’t inked on it. It was instead written “Thala”, a Tamil word for leader.

“Super Morning, Lions! The wait is finally over. Time to rise and shine! #CSKReturns #whistlepodu,” the franchise said on its Twitter handle (@ChennaiIPL).

The Chennai-based franchise has been the most successful team in the cash-rich league since its inception. They were the runners-up in the inaugural season and then went on to grab the trophy in back-to-back seasons in 2010 and 2011, under the captaincy of Dhoni.

They have in fact been quite regular with their appearance in the finals, having been runner-up on three other occasions (2012, 2013 and 2015). They had even inscribed their name on the Champions League T20 in 2010 and then in 2014.

Acting President of the BCCI, CK Khanna said: “VIVO IPL will be enriched by the return of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

Both the teams have enjoyed tremendous on- field success and have a mass following. The loyal fans will again get to see their favourite teams and stars in action from the upcoming season of the IPL.”

The chairman of IPL, Rajeev Shukla added: “It is my privilege to welcome back our franchisees, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, into the 11th edition of the IPL.

We have had a strong working relationship with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals and hope that we can continue to build upon the close ties that we have enjoyed in the past, as we move towards the next edition of the league.”

The Instagram post has sent all his fans and the CSK loyal in frenzy and could be an indication that the two times IPL winner will be back in the yellow colours with the Chennai side, to enjoy another season at the helm, reuniting with some of his former IPL team-mates.
