The Lords” is also called the Home of Cricket. It has remained the center of the ICC committee for a long period of time. The founder of this stadium was Thomas Lord who formed it in 1814, due to which the name of this stadium has become The Lords, Cricket Ground.

It has been the venue for some of the greatest matches in cricket history and has seen 4 World Cup Finals: (1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999). This is one venue every cricket fan wants to see at least once in their lifetime. This ground is also considered as the home ground to the Marylebone Cricket Club, and many of the home matches have been played here in the Lords.

 2) Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne:

MCG is the largest cricket stadium in the world, just like Lords it has so much history starting with international test matches against England back in 19th Century and till the 1992 World Cup when Pakistan defeated England in the final to win their first World Cup.

Mizoram may soon boast of Australia’s Melbourne Cricket Ground sized stadium.

It is a multi-sports stadium, mostly known for being the stadium to host the first ever test match and the first ODI between Australia and England. 4) Eden Gardens, Kolkata India:

The Eden Gardens cricket stadium is situated in the city of Kolkata in India and after 1934 it became the center of international cricket when England played a cricket match with India in this stadium. In the list of Top 10 Best Cricket Stadiums in the World, this is the second biggest ground in the world after Melbourne Cricket Ground.

There is also some sportsmanship failures that occurred in this ground. In the 1996 World Cup semifinal match was played in between India and Sri Lanka and when Sri Lanka was going to win the match, the crowd started throwing stuff in the stadium after that ICC intervened and Sri Lanka won the match.

5) Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney (Australia):

Sydney Cricket ground is found in Australia. In the list of Top 10 Best Cricket Stadiums in the World, it is the second most beautiful stadium in the world. It was established in 1884 and its total capacity is 46,000. This ground is also famous for a notorious event between Andrew Symonds and Harbhajan Singh.

It is a multi-sport style stadium in Australia which is mainly used for hosting international cricket matches. Australian rules football and rugby matches are also played at this ground. Recently hosted the semifinals of 2015 Cricket World Cup. 

6) Old Trafford, Manchester (England):

Johannesburg is an interesting cricket ground because of the way it was built, it has a bull ring style architecture and visiting teams often get under pressure by the home crowd. In this ground, the world’s greatest score 434 was chased by South Africa against Australia. It also hosted the World Cup 2003 final match which was played between India and Australia where Australia defeated India.

9) Kensington Oval, Barbados (West Indies):
