Team India celebrated MS Dhoni’s birthday and their series victory over West Indies. Check out the videos and pictures from the party.
Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni turned 36 on Friday and the wicket-keeper batsman celebrated his special day in the most perfect manner. The Indian team clinched the 5-match series 3-1 to register their third consecutive ODI series win in Carribean and later, Dhoni cut his birthday cake in presence of his teammates, wife and daughter.
The Indian cricketers took to social media and uploaded pictures of cake-cutting on the social media accounts. Virat Kohli on his Twitter account posted two pictures captioned,”Happy B’day Mahi bhai wish you lots of happiness and peace and success going ahead. God bless @msdhoni. 😇

Dhoni is the only captain to win all three ICC trophies — 50-over World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy and World T20 — while also taking India to the top of the ICC Test rankings. After winning all the major ICC tournaments, Dhoni handed the role of captaincy to Virat Kohli.

The Jharkhand batsman first became the India captain in 2007 for the World T20 and he led a young Indian team to the title. Four years later, he led India to title victory in the 50-over World Cup in Mumbai. Two years later in 2013, Dhoni completed the treble of trophies by winning the Champions Trophy in London.
In the Indian Premier League, Dhoni is the most successful skipper. With Chennai Super Kings, he had won two IPL trophy while leading the team into six finals. In the last IPL season, Dhoni was with Rising Pune Supergiant which reached the final before losing to Mumbai Indians.
First, Virat Kohli and Co. thumped West Indies by their 3-1 series victory and then moved on to a fun-filled birthday bash at their hotel in Kingston. The official account of Men in Blue shared a video of Mahi’s cake day. Virat Kohli and his men also took to social media sites to share pictures of Dhoni with cake smeared on his face, which seems to be the norm these days when it comes to birthday celebrations.
Indian skipper, Virat Kohli clicked a selfie with the birthday boy and shared the inside pictures from the epic mini party. Several other teammates soon clicked adorable selfies with Mahi and posted them via their social media accounts.
Dhoni’s wife Sakshi and his daughter Ziva accompanied him in team India’s tour to West Indies. She had earlier posted an adorable picture of Dhoni with Ziva to wish him on his birthday. Later, the father-daughter duo was seen sharing the frame after cutting the cake.
India registered their third consecutive ODI series win against West Indies. Kohli’s men have had a pretty good tour both on and off-field. While they won the series, the players were pretty active on the social media and were spotted posting pictures regularly on their respective official Instagram and Twitter handles. After the ODI win, India will end their tour with Sunday’s one-off T20I and will then head to Sri Lanka for a long tour in July.
