Sunrisers Hyderabad, the defending champions of Indian Premier League, face Gujarat Lions in their second match of IPL 2017. After a 35-run win in their opening match of IPL 10 against RCB, SRH will look to continue the momentum against GL, who suffered a big loss against Kolkata Knight Riders.
The Hyderabad unit will look to dominate the game against Lions at their home ground. With batsmen in form, Hyderabad can hope for a good display. Gujarat do have McCullum, Smith, Raina in their side but will once again miss Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo due to injuries.

Smith seems to be getting a move on here, he’s on 27 off 19 balls. He is hitting back-to-back boundaries to Moises Henriques. That would help up the run rate and get a move on for Gujarat.
Gujarat Lions are 110/4 after 16 overs. They’ve managed to curtail the fall of wickets but not really seen the runs rise in the same manner

AGAIN WICKET GONE! And now Karthik, another set batsman, falls. Tried to go down on one knee and ramp it over the keeper but Nehra follows him to the tee. Reduces the gap for Karthik to relax himself. Goes for 30 from 32 balls
RUN OUT! Dhawal Kulkarni exits quickly. After taking three wickets, Rashid Khan strikes from the field and has Kulkarni caught short. Gujarat Lions are 115/7

So in the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad have comprehensively beaten Gujarat Lions by 9 wickets and this match could be a major reality check for the Gujarat Lions.
Rashid Khan is considered as the man of the match for his spectacular figures of 4-0-19-3. With the three wickets, he is also the current purple cap holder.
