IPL 2026: Eight New Zealanders picked up in IPL auction.

In the IPL 2026 auction, eight New Zealanders were acquired, and Australian Cameron Green became the most expensive foreign player in history. The Kolkata Knight Riders acquired Tim Seifert ($286,000), Finn Allen ($380,000), and Rachin Ravindra ($380,000) to join Green.

After fierce bidding between Kolkata and Chennai Super Kings, all-rounder Green—who was originally registered as a batsman due to an error—was acquired by the three-time champions for $4.78 million. After India’s Rishabh Pant ($5.1m) and Shreyas Iyer ($5.08m), the 26-year-old is the third most expensive player in IPL history.

Those New Zealand players to go unsold included: Devon Conway, Michael Bracewell, Daryl Mitchell, Will O’Rourke, Ben Sears, Tim Robinson, Bevon-John Jacobs and Muhammed Abbas.
