Liverpool beat Tottenham 6-3 on Sunday.
Liverpool’s fantastic start to the season continued on Sunday, as they won 6-3 over Tottenham Hotspur to maintain a four-point lead in the Premier League table heading into Christmas.
The Reds were on the offensive from tip to end, and their attackers needed to keep on track to survive a chaotic game. Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah scored twice as both teams piled on the points, which were especially important in a frantic second half that scored five goals. Liverpool led 5-1 with half an hour left to play, setting up an unexpected wild finish with nine goals before the final whistle.

Dejan Kulusevski’s volley was followed by Dominic Solanke’s 83rd-minute goal, giving Spurs hope for an unlikely comeback, before Diaz made it 6-3 two minutes later, capping a crazy encounter that could have featured even more goals.
“We were quite good up front, but defensively we need to improve as a team,” Salah told Sky TV. “It’s quite good the result, and hopefully we just keep going.”
Liverpool leads with 39 points from 16 games, four points ahead of second-place Chelsea, who have played one more game.
