Argentinian star Lionel Messi will move to David Beckham’s Florida club.
Lionel Messi announced on Wednesday that he would be joining the Major League Soccer team Inter Miami as his next, and potentially final, club in his incredibly successful playing career.
Messi stated, “I decided that I am going to travel to Miami. “I still haven’t completely closed it. Even though I’m missing a few things, we choose to keep going.

It comes as a bit of a surprise that Messi chose to travel across the Atlantic. Many anticipated that he would sign a lucrative contract with a club in Saudi Arabia, much like his former rival Cristiano Ronaldo did.

Even though his father, Jorge, apparently spoke with Joan Laporte, the president of Barcelona, earlier this week, it seems that Lionel Messi was not interested in rejoining his old team.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner responded to rumors that he might return to Barcelona by saying: “I really wanted [to return to Barcelona], I was very excited to be able to return, but after having experienced what I experienced and the exit I had, I did not want to be in the same situation again: waiting to see what was going to happen and leaving my future in the hands of another.”
“I wanted to make my own choice, considering my family and myself.” Even though I had heard that LaLiga had agreed to everything was fine for him to return, there were still many other things that had to be done.
