The 2023 auction will now take place in Kochi’s Grand Hyatt Hotel, which will be a smaller event than the big auction staged before IPL 2022. Each team must finish assembling its squads, which can have up to 25 players and must include at least 18 players.

Vivrant Sharma, an all-around player from Jammu and Kashmir, was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 2.6 crore on Friday during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction in Kochi. His starting salary is 20 lakh.

Avinash is a 24-year-old fast bowler from Jammu. He hasn’t played any level of domestic cricket but is it is being told that he is a bowler from Umran Malik’s league.
Like Umran, Avinash has played most of his cricket with a tennis ball! He had rarely played with a cricket ball until recently. But he joined an academy in Jammu where he worked on his skills.

Ahead of the 16th mini-auction involving 10 IPL slated for December 23, cash-rich Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has announced the list of cricketers it will retain for IPL-2023. Both Jammu Kashmir players, Umran Malik and Abdul Samad are being retained for Rs 4 crore each. Umran Malik and Abdul Samad are already at SRH! So, a total of 5 players from J&K will be in IPL2023.
The SRH which currently falls at the No 8 rank within IPL has retained 12 players and delisted a few including its captain, Kane Williamson.
Reports appearing in the media said SRH will retain Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, T Natarajan, and Abdul Samad. Its overseas players include Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqui, New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips, and South Africa’s Marco Jansen and Aiden Markram.
