How Tottenham’s £1billion stadium is transformed for NFL Venue

There is no doubt in my mind that the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the best stadium in the world.

For the NFL, Tottenham’s $1 billion stadium has undergone a transformation that is exciting to watch.

This weekend, the NFL is coming to London, and the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints will be playing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which has undergone an incredible renovation.

This weekend marks the return of American football to London as part of a series of international games, with Spurs serving as the team’s unmoveable host in the English capital according to a cooperation agreement they negotiated that runs through 2028.

Fans have been in amazement since the NFL’s official UK Twitter account released a time-lapse video of the laborious process. The playing field’s sides are shown being raised to create a place for the standard football field, which is divided in three and moved beneath the end stands.

The NFL pitch is shown here, but it still needs some turf to be added to complete it. The goalposts are then installed after portions of the seats are removed to make room for them, and the finishing touches are then made, including raising the American and Union flags.

The ground will stay NFL-ready for another week past this weekend as the New York Giants play the Green Bay Packers the following Sunday (October 9), while Spurs are on their travels to Arsenal, Frankfurt, and Brighton in their next three matches.
