Virat Kohli: Wishes Ravindra Jadeja after he becomes No.1 Test bowler
He was in contention for a ten-wicket haul throughout the match but fell short at the end when his spin partner Ashwin took the final wicket. Jadeja would have become the first player to score over 150 and take ten wickets in the same game if he had taken that wicket. He was only the sixth person to score 150 or more and take a five-for in the same Test.
Virat Kohli, who struck 45 in his 100th Test, climbed two spots to No. 5 in the batting rankings. Rishabh Pant, who shot a mind-boggling 96 off a 97, climbed one spot into the top ten.
