Spurs have made contact with Man United over the possibility of signing Jesse Lingard.

The 29-year-old Manchester United midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, impressing so well that he may easily return this month or for free in the summer.

But, even if United were to get a bid from Spurs this month for Lingard, should they accept it given that Antonio Conte’s team is now regarded as a top-four rival?
The England international isn’t receiving nearly enough playing time at United, and the club will get nothing for him if he leaves in the summer, but he might still be a valuable player this season.
Lingard, who has been a part of the club for half a season, is aware of the level of animosity between the two sides.
