Thiago Silva is the best defender in the world.
Thiago Silva has proven that he is unaffected by the passage of time with a spectacular goal-line clearance in Chelsea’s Champions League match against Juventus on Tuesday night.
The 37-year-old Brazilian defender joined Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, and some feared he was past his prime due to his age.
He’s spent the last 18 months proving that nothing could be farther from the truth, turning in fantastic performances as Chelsea won the Champions League last season and promising to keep up the good work in 2021-22.

“He’s someone I need to look to as a young player in terms of where I want to be and where I want to go.”
Chalobah is definitely on the right track, as Silva demonstrated once again on Tuesday night.
Alvaro Morata, a former Chelsea player, was let through on goal with 27 minutes gone and managed to lob the ball over Edouard Mendy.
