The club’s all-time leading scorer Sergio Aguero will leave the Etihad Stadium after his deal expires in the future, according to the Premier League representatives.
It has been confirmed Sergio will leave Manchester City at the end of the season when his contract expires. Aguero joined City in the summer of 2011 and has since established himself as a club hero, scoring 181 Premier League goals in ten years with the Blues.

Aguero decided to play, but due to sickness and injuries, he has only played five Premier League and Champions League games this season. After suffering a knee injury in the first game of Project Lockdown in June, he had surgery which ruled him out until October.
He then sustained a hamstring injury, missing another ten games due to coronavirus rules, and has been unable to show his match sharpness.

Aguero is the club’s top goalscorer, with 257 goals from 384 games, surpassing Eric Brook’s 78-year record in 2017, and City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak announced a statue of him has been commissioned.

What next for City?
Pep Guardiola has coped without Aguero’s presence for most of the season although he believes he can still make a contribution in the final two months as City competes for trophies in four competitions.
