England has named a 13-member team to play in Southampton from Wednesday (July 8) for the 1st Test vs. West Indies. It will be the first international cricket match since March 13 – when an ODI was played between Australia and New Zealand – and the first test match since New Zealand ‘s Indian tour in February.
Ben Stokes will lead England in Joe Root ‘s absence, with the regular skipper taking leave to attend his second child’s birth.
